War Office Form: John James (1892-1916)

This War Office form is an example of those sent during the First World War. The War Office issued different forms to notify the next of kin of soldiers wounded, missing or killed in action. This form, from the Territorial Forces Record Office, relates to John James. John was a reservist soldier in the 1/22 Batallion, London Regiment, and was missing. In this letter the Army Council conclude that he died, killed in action.
